As we approach the tail end of Winter, I find myself obsessing over all things sparkly and shiny, particularly marveling at the heavy metal & industrial styles that seems to be cropping up all over the place. I think it started with that gorgeous Gareth Pugh gold number in Beyonce's 'Run the World' video:

From Beyonce, J.Lo and Gaga's continual love affair with formidable metal couture and accouterments, to little Miley Cyrus'es fabulous metallic wardrobe in her recent Maire Clare shoot, it seems metal and the hard edge industrial look is all go. Juxtaposed with a feminine edge like flowing loose hair or softer makeup, it creates a striking look.
